| Things I Learned at Riverfest:
1) If a stranger spills beer on your sleeve, you will smell like it indefinitely
2) "Fireworks" comes from the Coptic word "firworkis," which literally means "flaming death that rains from the skies"
3) Female friends, who claim to invite you because of your sparkling
personality, often actually do so because of your sparkling masculinity
in order to ward off wandering specimens of Homo Riverfestus (see #7).
4) The Arkansas River, a miracle of natural chemistry, is brown even at night due to a complex blend of pollutants.
5) Uh...I forgot this one. Sorry guys.
6) Traffic rules are totally suspended during Riverfest. Cars and
drivers follow an ancient model first discussed by Thomas Hobbes.
7) Homo Riverfestus is a little known species of Arkansan that only emerges on Memorial Day weekend. Homo Riverfestus can
be identified by his arm tatoos, sleeveless shirts, and sockless
sneakers. One especially common variety, the crested mullet, is
distinguished by bare chest, mullet, and an often spectacular neck
beard.
8) It is inadvisable to be caught taking pictures of the crested mullet, especially while laughing.
9) Old men still like to caress the posterior of their spouse as an
expression of love. This is most enjoyable when done in public
and uncomfortably close to others.
And I feel at liberty to simply end at 9. Because the American Constitution says I can.
Q: Who decided 10 was the official number?
A: George Washington. It's true.

| So last night I challenged myself and ate the atomic wings at wingstop. wow. I made it through 5 before I almost lost it. So, with that said. I want to say this:
Keep moving forward. It hurts, but keep moving forward.
| Here is a question that will baffle you.
We all know "deep" people and have "deep" conversations every once in a while. Well here is my question...
Is being deep having complicated conversations about simple things or simple conversations about complicated things.
I am personally for simple conversations about complicated things. Tell me what you think.
| I had a good weekend for the most part. It made me feel wholly inadequate for some reason, which is humbling and all so that was a good thing. But it also made me think like a grown up too. So that was very good. But then it also hit me that I am about to graduate college. Hmmmm. So that immediatly got me thinking about the Dave Matthews Band.
Dancing Nancies is a great song about what might have been. I take a lot of value from the song and I'll insert part of it here just so you know what I'm referencing. But anyways, I got to thinking in class (while I wasn't paying attention) about different paths and that kind of stuff. And here is what I think I can say. I have been exactly where I have supposed to be, I have done most everything I should have, and have few regrets. I have screwed up plenty, but I have also learned a lot. So with that, I think the only thing I didn't do well while in college was earnestly learn. But thats it, not much to it. How bout you, what have been the last few years for you like. Let me know.
Could I have been A parking lot attendant Could I have been A millionaire in Bel Air Could I have been Lost somewhere in Paris Could I have been Your little brother Could I have been Anyone other than me Could I have been Anyone other than me Could I have been Anyone other than me Could I have been Anyone
He stands touch his hair his shoes untied Tongue gaping stare Could I have been a magnet for money? Could I have been anyone other than me?
Twenty three and so tired of life Such a shame to throw it all away The images grow darker still Could I have been anyone other than me? Then I
Look up at the sky My mouth is open wide, lick and taste What's the use in worrying, what's the use in hurrying Turn, turn we almost become dizzy
I am who I am who I am who am I Requesting some enlightenment Could I have been anyone other than me?
Sing and dance I'll play for you tonight And thrill at it all Dark clouds may hang on me sometimes But I'll work it out then I
Look up at the sky My mouth is open wide, lick and taste What's the use in worrying, what's the use in hurrying Turn, turn we almost become dizzy
Falling out of a world of lies Could I have been dancing nancy Could I have been anyone other than me?
